I have had to rent a storage unit numerous times over the years. This storage facility by far is the cleanest, well maintained and has a good price point compared to any other place I have rented( 2 others in slo)I like that the storage units are raised above the ground level and that can’t be used as a home like other places I’ve stored at. I don’t worry about my belongings being stolen.

I have rented a large 12 x30 unit. the door is pretty hard to open and doesn't seem to have a spring load or anything to allow it to go up easily....When pulling by rope attached to the center it just bends out and you really have to struggle to get it open What can we do about it?

Rented a 10 x 10 unit with fire sprinkler system, clean and in good condition. Facility security is gated, fenced-in with CCTV monitoring. Professional and friendly staff with excellent customer service, including followup. Reasonable priced packing and moving supplies available onsite. I booked online, website easy to use, and received a great month to month storage unit price. I would highly recommend this storage facility.

I recently moved into this unit. It was easy to set up with them walking me through the process, they explained everything I needed to know, I got to view the unit before committing to it, the facility is clean and secure, and the rental charge is reasonable (plus, the first month is free).

This is the most best pricing in storage units within San luis obispo, its secure and kept clean. it has great and friendly service, and free truck usage on day of move in to move your stuff into storage which others dont offer, and good night lighting.

I have rented units from San Diego to Los Osos and I tell you true THIS place SHOULD, in my most humble opinion, be 5 Star rated over any I've used! And my experience covers OVER 30 years using these types of units! So how old/young am I? 68 in July ... if you really MUST know!!! LoL This facility is First, secure. With more cameras than the White House I suspect. Next, entire property is cleaner than any other I've seen or used. Then, the rental price for the size and quality of the space you get is VERY reasonable! Finally, the staff is polite, professional and go out of their way to be helpful! The website sent me an email saying that move in was from 9a-6p. Although upon arriving just past 5pm I was informed that they only do move ins between 9:30a-5p. Despite this misinformation, the gentleman working in the office was kind enough to get me set up and moved into my unit anyway. Prices are good and I feel that this will be a good secure place to keep my extra belongings.

False advertizing of cost. For instance..adds say free truck but do not mention insurance cost. Same with unit cost...no mention of insurance until the very end of process when it is too late to back out. For those reasons, I will never use your facilities again. Be honest and up front if you want my business.

Very nice place. The hours are 6am - 9pm, so lots of access time. Everything has been super clean and the guy at the front makes sure that EVERY car enters their pin code even if the gate is open, so I feel very secure. They have locks and packing material as well as a free delivery truck when you first move in. If you lock in your rate, it's locked in for the whole time, not just a first month discount. Great place in town - I would definitely recommend it!

I received a discount off of the first months rent, so the overall deal was very good. Easy access in and out of the Facility. The only issue is there is only one person working the desk, so if there are multiple people in the office and the manager needs to show a storage bin to a customer, everyone else has to vacate the office until he comes back. Other than that, the experience was pleasant and seamless.

I had to rent a unit quickly for my mother's belongings because she was going into an assisted living facility, so not only was I feeling rushed, I was emotional on top of it. The staff was extremely professional and courteous. They gave me a free truck and bent over backwards to help me make it a smooth day! I was very pleased with the cleanliness and the security there. I will be renting another unit or a bigger one soon, to bring the rest of my mother's belongings from a storage unit in Santa Maria that is not as clean and helpful as SLO City Storage.

My husband and I were unable to lock down a new apartment by the time our last lease ended, so we ended up needing a storage unit to put most of our stuff in while we're staying with a friend. We found a deal at SLO City Storage for 1/2 off first months rent and a free truck rental, which was such a God-send. We only had to make two trips across town, which was a much appreciated blessing. On top of that, we ended up accidentally sleeping through the check-in time the next morning and thought we'd have to pay for the truck, but the manager worked with us and let us return it free of charge after hearing that we're trying to be really careful watching every dollar we spend. We even got two free Angels tickets to boot, so I don't think we could have found a better value elsewhere (not to mention the free baseball game to look forward to!) The facility itself is in great shape -- well maintained, secure (you get a personal passcode that gives you access to the front gate and you have to use it to exit the premises as well), and safe-feeling. The service was great too -- I booked a reservation online and the manager left me a voicemail minutes later letting me know he was leaving for lunch so we wouldn't show up to check in while he was out. I am very pleased with our experience so far and would definitely recommend SLO City Storage to others.
